4/8/2011 Garnelis' HouseWhat a wonderful holiday!! The whole process from booking through to arrival and the stay itself was so easy and Yannis (the owner) was there to help the whole way. This was our first villa booked direct and I would recommend this villa (and owner) to anyone. The villa is fantastic both inside and out and the pool area very special. It really does feel like a home from home and has everything you need (including a grand piano!)This is a great place to stay to visit this beautiful corner of Corfu, the local beaches are stunning and the tavernas/bars/restaurants are all worth a visit. Yannis is on hand whenever you need him (whilst running the local supermarket) but he and his team respect your privacy to enable you to have a relaxing holiday. We hope to return soon and thank you again Yannis for a wonderful stay. |
3/8/2011 Villa AlkminiWe have had a lovely week at the Villa Alkmini. Yannis and his mother were extremely welcoming and friendly, and it was lovely having a supermarket within such an easy distance. The villa is extremely well equipped, clean and tasteful and the pool and surrounding area is a delight. We thoroughly enjoyed our week here and will return. We think this is definitely the best area of Corfu and it was lovely to be so near to Kerasia and A. Stephanos, and their restaurants and bars, and yet be so peaceful high in the olive groves. A real treasure to find. The Appleyard family, stayed last week in July 2011. |
18/7/2010 Villa Alkmini 19th-26th Sept. 2008Hi, I am Nicole and I am 9 years old I have really enjoed my stay at VILLA ALKMINI. The pool is Great. I love the wirl pool especially, the starfish and sea horses are nice I like the way the starfish was different shades of Browns,Orange, yellow's and red ! |
18/7/2010 Villa Alkmini 15th August - 29th August 20082 weeks is not long enough @ Villa alkmini - has to be 3 next year! Yannis and his brother are great - Yannis has wicked sense of humour and I, (Annie) love winding him up! Yannis' supermarket has great selection and he'll order fresh meat/fish if you ask him plus post your postcards, lend you his cool box. In fact, nothing is too much trouble. ENJOY !!! 18/7/2010 Villa Alkmini 1st August - 8th August 2008We've only been in the Villa for a week but already we think this is the best area of Corfu, the owners are very helpful and welcoming, even when we locked ourselves out. We found some great restaurants, but we thought the Panorama*, which had the best views and the food is ok, the cakes and ice cream is incrediable, mythos beer is also a delight. Hope your holiday is as good as ours. * a 2 minute-drive from villa, instead of taking a right towards villa off main road, take the turn opposite of the road, so take a right up the mountain, keep going till you see it. Was the best restaurant we visited !!!! |
18/7/2010 Villa Alkmini 25th July - 1st August 2008After spending 2 weeks on the island before this week, in a different villa in St.Spiridon, we decided to stay for this extra week. We found Villa Alkmini last minute, but what a great find!!! We have all (Mum, Dad and 3 kids) had a marvelous time here with a warm welcome from Yannis (shop owner)!!! I am Ellie and I am 12 years old and I love this villa! The pool is great, I love the starfish and sea horses! THANK YOU! |
11/7/2010 Villa Alkmini 4th-11th July 2008We enjoyed our first holiday as a "couple" here! The location of the Villa was ideal for us - total peace! The locals were friedly and the local village shop was well stocked with plenty of choice. We did infact visit a few nearby bays all of which we found quite breath-taking. We would certainly come again and would like to bring both families and have the two Villa's. |

11/7/2010 Villa Alkmini 16th May 2008We have just completed a very happy and relaxing one week stay at Villa Alkmini. The property is of high standard and well maintained. The maid garden and pool servcing is of the Highest Standars. The Village shop (Run by the Villa's owners) is well stocked and the fruit and veg are very fresh. The staff are helpfull, good English speakers and very child friendly. Would we come again? Without doubt. |
